Chairman of Community Liaison Group Elected for Another Year

Published: Thursday, 23rd January 2014

David Packham has been re-elected to serve as chairman of the Community Liaison Group in 2014.

This will be his third consecutive year in the post since he was elected to serve as the CLG’s first chairman in 2012.

David is also chairman of Barnburgh and Harlington parish council, and vice-chairman of the Governors of Barnburgh Primary School. Before his ‘retirement’, he was Chief Operating Officer at Aston University in Birmingham and is still closely involved with the university.

He said: “I am very grateful to my colleagues for having re-elected me as their chairman for the coming year. The members of the group from the local communities, the three ward councillors representing Barnsley, Doncaster and Rotherham, and the project officers have formed a productive working relationship: this should stand us in good stead as the project moves towards becoming fully operational in 2015.”
