Waste Transfer Station

Published: Friday, 29th November 2013

Doncaster Council is proposing to build a new waste transfer station at Kirk Sandall

where most of the borough’s non-recyclable waste will be dropped off for a short time before being moved by articulated lorry to the new waste treatment facility at Manvers in Rotherham.

This will mean fewer lorry journeys, potentially saving thousands of pounds of taxpayers’ money.

Local people are invited to have their say on the new proposals, and two drop in events are being held where they can find out more details:

• Tuesday, January 7, 3.00pm to 6.00pm at The Church Balk Centre, Marian Road, EDENTHORPE
• Wednesday, January 8, 3.30pm to 6.30pm, Assembly Halls, Dentons Green Lane KIRK SANDALL
